description
Spiral bevel gears transmit power between intersecting shafts - typically at 90°, but any shaft angle can be produced. The spiral tooth form provides gradual tooth engagement, which is significantly quieter than straight bevel gears and handles higher speeds without the轰鸣 that straight bevels generate.
8620 case-hardening steel is the standard material for bevel gears - the surface gets hard for wear resistance while the core stays ductile for shock resistance. 4140 alloy handles higher torque applications where through-hardening strength is needed.
The Gleason and Klingelnberg systems produce different tooth geometries - the system affects noise, load capacity, and manufacturing cost. We work with both systems and select based on your application requirements.

Why Spiral Bevel Beats Straight Bevel for Most Applications
