description
Aluminum support arms provide structural support for industrial workstations, machine-mounted devices, and equipment frames. Aluminum carries the load while keeping the structure light enough for one person to adjust or reconfigure without hoists or lifting equipment. 6061-T6 takes anodizing well and holds up in industrial environments without rusting. 6063-T5 works well when maximum strength is not the priority - lower cost for the same good surface. Standard section sizes from 40 mm to 120 mm cover most applications. Lengths up to 3000 mm in one piece, longer spans handled by joining sections or internal reinforcement.

Arm Sizing for Load and Deflection
The limiting factor for support arms is usually deflection, not strength. A 120 mm arm under a given load deflects less than a 40 mm arm of the same length. We size arms based on your load and the allowable deflection at the attachment point - for precision equipment, deflection is often the tighter constraint than load capacity.

Quality is non-negotiable in precision manufacturing. Every component undergoes rigorous inspection at each stage of production.
- ISO 9001:2015 - Certified quality management system covering design, machining, and inspection
- CMM Inspection - Coordinate measuring for complex geometries and tight tolerances
- Surface Roughness Measurement - Ra, Rz, and Rt charting with every inspection report
- Passivation / Electropolishing - ASTM A967 procedures for corrosion resistance
- Material Traceability - Heat number tracking from raw material to finished part
- MIL-A-8625 - Military-specification anodizing for aluminum components
- Coating Thickness Testing - Coating weight and thickness verification per MIL spec
- Salt Spray Testing - 1000-hour ASTM B117 corrosion resistance verification available
- First Article Inspection (FAI) - Full dimensional report included with every new order
From raw material to finished product, every step is controlled and documented:
- Material Preparation - CNC turning/milling to near-net shape
- Heat Treatment - Through-hardening or case-hardening for strength-critical parts
- Surface Preparation - Degreasing, acid cleaning, and surface activation
- Anodizing - Controlled bath process with thickness monitoring
- Sealing / Baking - Chrome sealing, anodize sealing, or hydrogen embrittlement relief baking
- Inspection - Coating thickness measurement, adhesion testing, and visual check
- Packaging - Protective interleaving, VCI packaging, and anti-tarnish wrapping
