About This Service
Electroplating deposits a thin metal coating on parts to improve corrosion resistance, wear resistance, conductivity, or appearance. We offer zinc, zinc-nickel, electroless nickel, hard chrome, and decorative plating. Trivalent chromium only - RoHS compliant.
6 Plating Systems We Offer
Pick the right plating for your application. Each has different performance and cost.
Zinc (Clear Chromate)
24-96 hr white corrosion, 100-200 hr red. Indoor dry environment. Lowest cost.
Zinc (Yellow Chromate)
72-200 hr white, 200-500 hr red. Indoor and mild outdoor. Automotive interior.
Zinc-Nickel (12-15% Ni)
500+ hr white, 1,000+ hr red. Automotive underbody, chassis, harsh environment.
Electroless Nickel
500+ hr salt spray. Uniform thickness on complex shapes. Hardness to 1000 HV.
Hard Chrome
850-1000 HV hardness. Hydraulic rods, molds, machine parts. Industrial wear surfaces.
Decorative Cu-Ni-Cr
Bright mirror finish. Automotive trim, plumbing fixtures, decorative hardware.
How We Ensure Quality on Every Batch
Three verification steps that catch issues before parts leave the shop.

Degreasing, acid pickling, activation, and Wood's nickel strike for stainless steel. Proper pretreatment is 50% of plating quality. Inadequate prep = blistering, peeling.

XRF thickness gauges on every batch. Plating bath chemistry and temperature controlled continuously. Hull cell tests daily. Visual inspection at each step.

ASTM B117 salt spray test on in-house chamber. Adhesion test (bend or cross-hatch). Thickness certificate per order. Hydrogen embrittlement relief for HRC 40+ parts.
